My Favorite Lipsticks

May 1, 2020

Hello beautiful people and thank you for dropping by my little corner of the internet. Today I want to share with you my favorite lipsticks, both liquid and classic. I’ve got a wide selection to get through today, so let’s get down to it!

First up is a lipstick from Rimmel in the Kate Moss Collection. This is color number 107. This was the first berry I ever felt comfortable wearing. The color isn’t too dark which works great for me and it’s matte so it has slightly better staying power than a normal cream lipstick. I especially love to wear this in the fall and winter.

I’ve got two Tarteist lip paints in colors ‘Extra’ and ‘Fly’. I know they look very familiar but the product on the left is more of a purple color and the lip product on the right is more of a true bright red color. I got these in a set of four and I love them! While they are matte, they are very comfortable on the lips. The color pay off is also amazing, one swipe and you’ve got full pigment!

I’ve fallen head over heels for this Phase Zero Matte Liquid Lipstick in the color ‘Undercover’. This came in one of my subscription boxes and I absolutely love this color. It’s a great nude on me because there is a bit of pink in it. It’s got a sort of moussey texture so it’s very light on the lips when you apply it. It’s not runny so it’s easy to apply with very little mess.

Next we have my L’Oreal Colouriche Shine in 908 Sparkling Rose. This is so comfortable on my lips, it’s just like the Revlon Colorbursts that I love so much. It’s a nude pink and it is very sheer on the lips. It’s perfect for those makeup no makeup days. I also find that it’s easy to apply without a mirror so it’s perfect for travel!

I bought this Lime Crime Lip Plushie in ‘Rosebud’ when I was at IMATS this year and I haven’t been able to put it down! It’s lighter than your usual liquid lipstick and it’s certainly not as drying. The product is, again, a nudey pink. It’s not as thick as usual liquid lipsticks making it a breeze to slap on especially with the wand. I find the wand helps me map out my lips beautifully without going over the edges.

Next is the Charlotte Tillburry lipstick in ‘The Queen’. This is a gorgeous magenta pink and it’s a matte formula. I don’t think it is too drying on the lips and the color is nice and vibrant. This is a luxe lipstick and the formula and packaging certainly reflect that. The bullet is certainly an interesting shape and makes it easier to map out your lips.

I really love Dose of Colors lip products and I especially love this liquid lipstick in ‘Stone’. At first I didn’t think that it would work nicely with my skin tone but it really does work! It’s a nude liquid lipstick. It’s a bit moussey and whipped and, while it’s matte, it’s very comfortable on the lips. It is easy to apply without a mirror and looks great on many skin tones.

Lastly we have an Hourglass Lip Stylo in ‘Inventor’. This is a great ‘my lips but better’ type of look. I love lip crayons because, like this one, they can be nice and pigmented but also very soft on the lips. Because of it being a crayon type lipstick, I find it really easy to apply with or without a mirror. I would recommend these Hourglass lip crayons to everyone!

That’s it! Just a few lipsticks that I really love. What are some of your favorite lipsticks? I’m always game to try something new.
