Happy Friday evening, all my beauties! I hope everyone had a really nice thanksgiving and time off with the family and/or friends. This post has been a few weeks in the works, waiting for everything to arrive. I will split the post into three subsections; makeup, skincare, and tools to make things easier. Enough yammering, let’s get to the haul shall we?
For my contribution to the plethora of Sephora VIB sale posts and videos, I have here for you the three products that in my sane dreams I never thought I would own even one of these, let alone three.
The first thing I added to my cart as soon as the sale started was the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 palette. I actually own the Edit 1 and when I saw this one I knew I wanted it. Everyone I have seen, though, has purchased the Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked palette and, while I did look at it, it really did nothing for me. I love their marbled powders and blushes and that’s really what ultimately made my decision- Volume 4 had the marbled blushes and the Unlocked palette did not.
I then let myself get two lip products from brands I have never allowed myself to purchase. I do own a YSL lip gloss that one of my best friends kindly let me pick out for my birthday gift not too long ago.
From Dior I purchased the Dior Lacquer Stick in 877 Turn Me Dior and from YSL I purchased the Volupte Tint-in-Balm in number 4
I also cashed in some of my points at Sephora to get the 500 point Clinique perk called Moisture Matters. I chose this for the sole reason of the Chubby Stick- I love those things. We’ll see how the rest of the kit goes.
I picked up a random bit of makeup when I was re-doing my skin care routine at Ulta. I got the Revolution (also known as Makeup Revolution) Luxury Baking powder in Lace because I’m just know learning to bake my makeup. I didn’t want to waste my good Laura Mercier powder on all of my to be failed attempts. Plus it said it was for baking so where could I go wrong, right?
For the past few months my skin has been a bit more normal/combination and a lot less spotty so I’m trying out some non-medicated, ‘normal’ face washes to see how my face takes it. I’m trying drugstore before the higher end things I usually use because I don’t want to be out a ton of money if it doesn’t work. For a day to day sort of face wash I purchased the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial cleanser for normal to oily skin. I also purchased the Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Cooling Gel Scrub because right now the scrubs I use are samples from my Ipsy bag and I would really like something more consistent.
I picked up the Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Toner to replace my Stridex Maximum Action face pads that I was going to run out of when I placed the order. I also purchased the Your Good Skin Pore Minimizing Tonic. I know nothing about this brand, have heard nothing about this product, but it had almost five stars. Like the fifth star was 9/10 filled up so that seemed like a good enough reason for me. Also, it was the only pore minimizing tonic/toner that I liked the sound and price of. I absolutely adore Mario Badescu skin care, the things I’ve tried anyway. I have always loved his rosewater toner spray so when I saw that he had released a chamomile and lavender one I couldn’t wait to be through my rosewater one to get it! I only got the 4oz, which is still a lot, if for some reason my skin doesn’t react well to it. Also, not pictured, I picked up what I believe is my sixth or seventh bottle of his Drying Lotion (the ‘pink stuff’ as my mom calls it). I’ve been using this product since high school and it has never let me down. I use the buffering lotion and the drying cream as well, they are also for spot treating acne.
This is one brand I had never heard of until Instagram showed me in one of their ‘tailored’ ads. This is the only link I will include in this post- these are from JUNO & Co. Their main products are these Microfiber Velvet sponges. I got two of the Microfiber Velvet sponges and the Clean Up Your Act solid soap in the ‘Velvet Lovin’ Bundle’ for $16 and their individual sponges cost about $6. They have a ton of other stuff on their site too, I haven’t had a proper look around but I really like what I see. I also really like the sponges so far, look for a review in the coming weeks.
And that’s all she wrote, hah. I would say I was really tame with this haul buuut looking at those first three products I know that isn’t true. I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I would love to know what you have hauled recently, not just with the VIB sale, so comment down below! And, as always, I am always, 100% honest in what I say. Nothing I say has been swayed. All links are just take directly from the site/sites themselves and are not affiliate. If there are ever any affiliate links, I will tell you beforehand.
Thanks for reading guys and I’ll see you tomorrow!
