It’s in the Bag Saturday… Kinda

Okay so as you may remember I had mentioned on Makeup Bag Monday that on Saturday’s I would revisit and discuss how it went.  Then I realized how redundant and repetitive that would be, so I’m changing it. Saturday’s will stay ‘It’s in the Bag Saturday’ where I talk about that weeks makeup bag but Mondays will now be ‘Make It Up Monday’.  Since I have already done the weekly makeup bag this week, I’m going to do the new Monday post.  It just got swapped this week and will be in the right order next week.

So, what is ‘Make It Up Monday’? I wasn’t really leaving room for me to do looks with how I had initially set up the schedule.  So, ‘Make It Up Monday’ is going to be just that, me doing a makeup look and then walking you through it.  If there are any colors or styles or techniques you would like to see me do, or attempt to do, please comment down below.
Now, after that long winded intro, here is the look for today-

When it comes to clothes and mainly makeup, I definitely lean toward the warmer side of the spectrum.  I personally think it compliments my not natural red hair- hah! For my face primer I used the Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Makeup Primer and I got the hydrating one.  I used my ‘fanciest’ high end foundation, the Lancome Teint Idole 24HR foundation in 090 IVO N.  I used my Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder to bake under my eyes and anywhere I wanted my foundation to not wear away.  I then took a light dusting of my favorite Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 003 Natural all over my face just so I would be sure to stay as least shiny as possible throughout the event.
Since I knew I was going to do such a bold eye, I used my ELF powder blush in Twinkle Pink. Then I took my Milani Baked Bronzer in 04 Glow and Becca Prosecco Pop highlighter from the Champagne Collection palette (Jaclyn Hill x Becca collab) to finish off my cheeks.  Since I’ve been getting into contouring more, I used my Ulta Contour Kit and I used the second lightest matte bronzer called Bombshell Bronzer.  I have found that this Ulta contour palette is honestly one of the best ones I have tried (and on of three that I own) and, as far as contour palettes go, it’s not too too expensive.  I believe it is under $25.
For my brows I used the Maybelline Total Temptation Brow Pencil in 300 Blonde and for the gel I used the Soap and Glory Volu-Boost Brow Fibre Gel in Blonde Luck.  On a ‘no makeup’ makeup day, I like to just use this gel because there is a tint and you get a ‘my brows but better’ sort of look.  I lined my top lid and waterline with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in the color Smoke.

For my eyeshadow look, I used a truly loved Morphe palette the 35F, Fall Frost.  To me, this palette screamed Thanksgiving and a fall to Christmas season transition with some gorgeous golds, magnificent mauves, and beautiful berries to name a few.  I used to really shy away from any matte shade in any palette and just use shimmers, satins, and glitters everywhere including my crease. Dun. DUn. DUUUNN. Hey, I was learning and now I have started using them on myself and I really like the look I can achieve by using them.  I did put on some Kiss Lashes of no name on using i-envy super strong hold eyelash adhesive in Clear- it’s a brush on.  Once I had those guys popped on I did a coat or two of the Lancome Grandiose Extreme in 01 Noir Extreme to give a seamless transition from natural to falsies.

That’s all she wrote folks! What do you think of this look? Is it something you would try? I would love to know.  As always, statements and opinions made by me are completely my own and have not been swayed.  I will always be 100% truthful with you.  I will see you all on Monday! And don’t forget: Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be YOU!
