Day to Night Look feat. Colourpop

Hello my beauties! Last week I finally was able to order a pressed shadow palette from Colourpop and I picked up the one I’ve been eyeing for at least a month. The palette I’m talking about is the Perception palette. It’s a gorgeous mostly shimmer palette with a few gorgeous mattes. So, since I was dying to play with it I created a look for the day that, by adding or changing a few things, make it into a look for nighttime for a date or going to the theater. I’m going to give you the basics, the things that I didn’t change between both looks, and then I will show you the looks and how I did the eyes and lips for both.

The Base

  • Primer: Becca Backlight Priming Filter
  • Foundation: Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation- F3
  • Under Eye Concealer: Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser- Fair (first time ever that I haven’t used my concealer for acne and scarring)
  • Powder (to set my eyes): Rimmel Stay Matte powder- 003 Natural
  • Baking Powder (Under eyes, jaw, a bit in the T-Zone): Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder [P.P.]

  • Blush: Cushion Blush by Suikone-02 [P.P] (it’s a lot lighter and pinker than the picture depicts) and Milani Powder Blush- 08 Tea Rose
  • Highlight: The Balm’s Mary-Dew Manizer and Mary-Lou Manizer
  • Contour: The Balm’s Highlite ‘N Con Tour palette- bottom row, furthest to the left.
  • Brows: Anastasia of Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil- Blonde [P.P]
  • Brow Gel: Soap and Glory Brow Archery gel- Blond Luck [P.P.]
  • Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil- Smoke
  • Mascara Primer: L’Oreal Voluminous Base Primer
  • Mascara: L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara (Waterproof)

It’s Time for Change- Eyes and Lips

For my daytime look I used the following shadows on my eyes and product on my lips:
– Crease: Culture (3rd Row, 2nd In)
-Deepen the Crease: Played out (4th Row, 3rd In)
-Lid: Diva (2nd Row, 2nd In)
-Brow Bone and Inner Corner: Unbothered (1st Row, 1st in)
Lips: Nyx Liquid Suede- 09 Tea and Cookies

For nightime, I did a bit of a smokey eye and a bold lip. Here’s what I used:
-Outer half of the lid: Titus (1st Row, 3rd In)
-At the very outer edge of Titus: Sassy (3rd Row, 3rd In)
-Lip: Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo in Visionary (a brick red)

I really loved creating this look and getting a chance to practice changing a look over from day to night without having to wipe off my entire lid or even sometimes my whole face. Lipstick is the easiest to change because your previous lip is either already worn off or is mostly gone after and 8+ hour day. Do you have any palettes that you like to use for day to night looks? I’d really love to know. As always: Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be YOU!!  Because you is the most beautiful you there is. Have a great week and I’ll see you on Wednesday!
