Hello my beauties! I hope everyone is ready for Valentines Day, or Galentines day whatever, as long as you’re happy. Today I’m showing you another look I created that would be appropriate for the day focused on all things love. I combined two palettes to get the look I wanted, luckily you can still find them online or in stores. Keep reading to see the look!!
Base

For the base for my face makeup I wound up using two primers- Too Faced Hangover RX and the Cover FX Blurring Primer. I used the Too Faced all over my face and I used the Cover FX on my nose and my cheeks because that’s where my pores are the largest. For my eyes, I used the NYX Proof It! eye primer and it worked really well with both palettes I used.
Face

For my foundation I used the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy Foundation in 105 ‘Fair Ivory’ and I applied that using the Juno & Co. microfiber velvet sponge. I’m hoping to review that soon, so keep your eyes peeled. For my under eye I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in ‘Fair‘ and for some spots that needed more coverage I used the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in ‘Porcelain’. I set my under eye and lids with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 003 Natural but I set my whole face with my favorite Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder [P.P.]. I used a lighter hand so that it wouldn’t take away all of the glow I was getting from the foundation. It just made it so I didn’t and wouldn’t look like a grease ball. I included the bronzer I used here because the rest of my face is palettes. I bronzed my face with the Tarte Park Ave Princess bronzer [P.P.]. This gives me a nice little glow and doesn’t make me look like an orange.

For my blush I used the Luminous Glow Blush in the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit 4. This was my first time trying this blush, actually, because the bright peach/orange color was scaring me a bit but it gives a subtle gorgeous flush to the cheeks when applied. For my highlighter I used two highlights from the Anastasia of Beverly Hills ‘Gleam’ Glow Kit. I mixed the colors ‘Starburst’ and ‘Crushed Pearl’ leaning more towards the Crushed Pearl pan. I’ve never mixed powders like this before and I have discovered I really like it. It gives you your own unique highlight color, which is what makeup is all about! For my contour I used my loved Anastasia of Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit and from the kit I used the ‘Fawn’ color which has become a favorite of mine. It’s cool toned, which looks good on my skin but I’m tempted to try the other colors… Just not when I have to leave the house! 😂
Eyes

I started my makeup by doing my eyes. I just started doing that and now I know what I was missing! I started by using the Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette for the crease. The first color I put in the crease was ‘Bing’ and then to deepen that up a bit I used ‘Devilish’ and then I blended it out. For the rest of my shadow I used the Sunset Prism Eyeshadow palette by ELF. I started out by putting color number three all over the lid and I really didn’t like that because it was darker than I wanted. I was able to fix it by putting shade number four over top of it. I then used my Revolution Cut Crease Canvas in Halo that I picked up from Ulta on a whim and I have used it nonstop since it arrived. I use a flat shader brush to put the ‘goop’ onto my eye so I can’t get a precise cut crease without the product going everywhere. For the cut crease I used the color number five from the palette. Finally for my brow bone and inner corner I used the white glittery color, color number 6. There was a bit of fallout with this color but since I wore shadow shields and before my face makeup I was easily able to wipe it away.

I used to eyeliners for this look. On my upper lash line I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in ‘Rockstar’ and then on the bottom I used a gold liner from a brand I don’t know and it has no color. For my brows I used the Maybelline Total Temptation Brow pencil in 300 Blonde and for the gel I used the Essence Lash and Brow Gel mascara in Clear. This gel has hold but doesn’t make your brows feel crunchy or gross. The white bottle is the Revolution Cut Crease Canvas in Halo. I really suggest going to your Ulta so you can check it out for yourself, it’s a great product in my opinion. For my lashes I used my Lancome Grandiose Extreme. I put this on after I applied my lashes which I got from a vendor at IMATS but there are no names for any of the lashes, unfortunately.
Lips

For my lipstick I used the Eve Pearl Creme Lipstick in Rose, this is such a gorgeous rosey nude I’m so glad I have it. To give it a little bit of a glossy shine I used the Eve Pearl lipgloss in 411 Peach Champagne. This is a great lipstick topper or on it’s own, when you use it on it’s own it’s like a “my lips but better and glossier” kind of color.

And here’s what the look looked like. I was really pleased with how this look turned out and since I have the steps down and I wouldn’t be playing, this wouldn’t take an hour and a half to do. It’s in between soft and totally glam, at least that’s what I think. The lashes push it more towards the glam side, I will admit. But the colors aren’t in your face and they are also not BAM in your face colors. That’s why I think this would make a great Galentines Day look, especially. It could also go for everyday or whatever you want, but I was inspired by the holiday coming up this week. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want more, be sure to subscribe and I’ll be seeing you on Wednesday. 💕

Thank you so much, love! I’ve had that palette for a few years now and I have the second, more neutral one they released with it. And I believe they are still selling both, too. 😘
