Make It Up Monday: Soft Glam

Hello my beauties! I hope you have had a great start to your week. Here is the look I created for today’s ‘Make It Up Monday’, a look I have deemed Soft Glam.

For my base, I used my Becca Backlight Priming Filter as my primer and then I went in with the Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation in F2 for my all over foundation. To conceal my under eye circles, I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 10 Fair and then I used the LA Girl Pro Conceal in Porcelain to cover some spots that have sprung up on my face. Not pictured are the powders I used on my face. For my eyes I used my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 003 Natural, for my whole face I used the Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent Extra Coverage, and to bake under my eyes and on my jaw line I used the Revolution Luxury Baking Powder in Lace.

For my blush, I used one of my favorites- the Laura Gellar Baked Blush-N-Brighten blush in ‘Tropic Hues’. I finally caved and bought the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer after hearing every beauty guru and their mother talk about it. They were totally right, though, it’s an amazing bronzer. For my highlight I used my tried and true MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in ‘Soft and Gentle’. It’s not a subtle highlight but it’s also not blinding, it’s the perfect in between highlighter.

For my contour I used the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit in the color ‘Fawn’. It’s a great shade for me and has a slight grey-ish tinge to it, which is great for me and for contouring. Now, for my eyes. I used the Meet Matt(e) Shmaker palette by the Balm. This was my first time really getting to play with this and I’m in love. The shadows are super creamy and they go on really nicely. Keep your eye out on Wednesday for a full review of the palette. For my crease I used the color Matt Stupak and for the definer I used Matt Shahvaran, both of these are warm brown shadows. On my lid I put Lisa Campbell on the inner and outer third of my eye and for the center portion (the ‘halo area), I used Kate Shahvaran. Lisa is a warm royal purple and Kate is a champagne-ish, pinkish, purple-ish tone that is totally gorgeous.

For my brows I used my Anastasia of Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil in Blonde and to get them to stay I used my Soap and Glory Brow Archery Brow Gel in Blonde Luck. The only thing I’m not too fond of with this gel is that the packaging isn’t clear so I have no idea how much I have left. For my top lash line I used the Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Rockstar and on my waterline I used the Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Midnight Cowboy. I love the Urban Decay eyeliners because they are so creamy and smooth, they glide onto your lid without any tugging.

Now for the finishing touches. The mascara I used is from Bobbi Brown and it is her Eye Opening Mascara, this is great because it doesn’t clump on me or give me those spider lashes. I did a fun thing with my lips. First, I applied the Maybelline lipstick in 895 ‘On Fire Red’ and then I blotted my lips on a tissue not once, not twice, but three times to give my lips more of a stained look. I then took the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Moon Child lipgloss and put it in the very center of my lips and then I patted it out. The gold flecks in the lipgloss really looked nice with the red that was left behind on my lips. Then I set my face with the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist and I was ready to take on the day!

And that’s it, folks! I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I enjoyed creating it. What are some of your go to products? Leave them in the comments down below! XO
