Whatever I feel Friday: March Shop My Stash

Hello, my beauties! Today I’m doing something new, a shop my stash post for the upcoming month. I’m a little unsure about what you’re supposed to pick, which categories, but I tried my best and I think I’ve come up with a few good pieces. Have you ever done a shop my stash? I watch the videos on YouTube and figured I would try it here.

Foundations

I chose three varying degrees of coverage for foundations. I chose my new Garnier Skin Active BB Cream in Light/Medium to be for my super light days. I then picked my Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation in 10 Porcelain that I’ve had for what feels like an eon. There’s only about a third left so I’m hoping to have it finished in the next few months. Finally I chose my favorite IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream in Fair. While this is a CC cream, it has the coverage of a medium coverage foundation that can easily be built to full coverage. I also love that it has an SPF of 50 which is great because I always try to wear sunscreen and since we’re starting to warm up I figured I needed it more.

Powder

For my powder I pulled out my very neglected Soap and Glory Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder. Obviously this won’t be the only powder I use but I pulled this one to the front because it has been so neglected. I honestly prefer their One Heck of a Blot powder, so that is always in my purse. It has a yellow tinge but that doesn’t seem to show up on my skin.

Face Palette

I decided I really wanted a face palette too so I chose my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (1). I’m getting into finishing powders and mixing the top right and center powders, are the perfect match. It just gives you a nice little glow after finishing everything.

Blush/Bronzer/Highlighter

I went a little crazy picking blushes, highlighters, and bronzers. Don’t I always, though? The bronzers I picked were the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer and the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. The Butter Bronzer is still new to me and the Hoola Bronzer is something I bought back in 2017 for a wedding when I self tanned and wound up being my first foray into bronzer. Only just recently, though, have I really gotten into using bronzer. I am also using the bronzer in the ELF St. Lucia duo as well as the blush. I think that it is a really versatile duo. For the blushers I chose my Instain Argyle blush from The Balm and the Milani Baked Blush in Rose D’Oro. I fell in love with that one before I even considered trying Luminoso, I know that’s a little backwards. Then for highlighter, I picked two I really love. The Balm’s Mary Lou Manizer that I got at IMATS LA and then my very loved Becca Champagne Pop highlighter. It’s actually my second one because my first one got shattered when I went to the wedding in 2017. Luckily it made it there in one piece but not back.

Eye Palettes

For this month’s palettes I chose my Smashbox Full Exposure palette to give me some neutrals to play with. For colors I chose my Colourpop Perception palette which also happens to be part of the #TheRockyHorrorPanningShow on Instagram, started by the great @hannah.pans. They are great quality shadows and include color and neutrals.

Single Shadows

There is one thing not pictured here and one thing that doesn’t belong. I was in such a hurry to get these pictures done, that I forgot to put the NYX  Dark Circle concealer in Fair in with the face stuff. But I’m trying to use this more to really learn how to use pot concealers. What isn’t pictured is my Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in Smoke. When I don’t want to use a black liner, this is what I use. It’s a charcoal grey color and gives definition but isn’t too harsh on the eyes either. Now, for the single shadows. I HAD to put MAC Jest (frost finish) in the pile because it has become my favorite inner corner and brow bone highlight. It’s perfect, especially when I don’t have a set brow bone and inner corner highlight. I also picked my MAC Extra Dimension in Sweet Heat. They still have the Extra Dimension line and the color, so I would definitely recommend checking them out. Finally, I selected the Model Co Metallic Eyeshadow Trio in Mykonos. This came in this month’s Allure Beauty Box. I chose it because I love me some shimmer and it contains colors I really like. I have to head to the East Coast for a funeral next week, this may be one of the things I pack in my makeup bag.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post, I sure had a lot of fun selecting these items. If you have any tips for a new ‘shop my stash-er’, please share them down below- I love your tips and tricks so much! As I mentioned just above, I will be gone on the East Coast for a few days so I’m going to try to schedule everything out but if I don’t I hope you will be understanding. Have a fantastic weekend, and I will be seeing you tomorrow! XO
