Make It Up Monday: ‘No Makeup’ Makeup

Hello my beauties! We’re back for another week of blogging goodness! For today’s look I picked something that I find fairly difficult to do- the ‘No Makeup’ Makeup look. Being subtle just isn’t my style. I hadn’t tried this look in awhile so it was nice giving it a go again. I feel like when you do a ‘no makeup’ look you always wind up using more makeup than usual. Doesn’t make sense but that seems to be how it works for me. Let’s get down to the look!

Face

For my foundation I used my Maybelline Dream Cushion foundation in 10 Porcelain. I feel that this gives one of the best ‘no makeup’ foudnation looks. It looks very natural yet has really good coverage. I used the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in 003 ‘Natural’. I used my mini NARS Orgasm blush because it’s one of the best blushes I’ve found that gives me a nice natural flush. Before I put that on, though, I used the Secret Flush stick blusher in 04 Nectar. I thought that it would help to give that just pinched look and it helps to hold my powder blush. For my liquid bronzer/highlighter I used the Benefit Sun Beam liquid glow that I just received in my Ipsy Luxe Glam Bag. I then, very softly, put my Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer on my temples and in the hollows of my cheeks. For the final touch on the face I used my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. I love light highlighters and goldish ones like this. I think Champagne Pop is a great color for a natural look. It can be blinding or subtle. For this look I took the subtle route.

Eyes

For my eyebrows I used my Anastasia of Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil in Blonde and then I used my Essence Brow Gel to help tame some fly aways. For my eyeliner I used a brown pencil that I have had for awhile and I don’t know the brand or color name. For my shadow I used an ELF eye crayon in French Lace and on my brow bone and inner corner I used an Essence eye crayon in Whipped White Frosting. Both are nice and subtle but the ELF crayon has a bit of shimmer in it, which I always want in my shadows. For my lashes I used my much loved Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. If applied right it can look very voluminous and very natural. Two things that don’t usually go together I know but I can make it work by applying sporadically.

Lips

For my lips I pulled two products, one older one and one that is newer. I’ve had Posie Tint for many years, this is my second bottle. I love the color it tints my lips, it’s like a natural flush of the lips. I then topped it off with a Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Snow Day. The color of the tint shows through gorgeously and the glitter gives a nice added bonus dimension. Here is the final product:

I had fun playing with this look but I found it hard to create. I really am not used to doing looks that are simple like this but it is something I should practice more often. Do you do ‘No Makeup’ makeup days? What are your favorite products to use for these types of looks? I would love to hear what you use, I’m always on the hunt for new products! XO

Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be YOU!!  Because you is the most beautiful you there is.

  1. On “no makeup” makeup days I really like to use NARS highlighting blush in hot sands. I’m pale so it puts just enough color and a subtle enough sheen to look like a healthy glow rather than flushed and sweaty. 😅

Since it works as both a highlighter and a blush, it also means there’s less makeup to put on! Winning!
