Hello my beauties and thanks for stopping by for another Make it up Monday! A few notes before we get into today’s post: I have been working on a theatre production for the past month and a half and next week we move to the theater and we open on the fifth of April. That being said, this week and next week especially are going to be hectic. I will try my hardest to get the posts up on time or get them scheduled out. If I miss a day or two, please forgive me. After the show opens, everything gets a lot calmer and I’ll be back to my usual posting. Thank you in advance for so much understanding.
Now that’s done, today’s post focuses on the palette I used this week- the Colourpop Perception palette. I am very pleased with the end result, so that’s something. I hope you keep reading and enjoy the look as much as I do!

For my primer I used the Too Faced Hangover RX primer (mini). This is one of my favorite primers because it absorbs quickly and really keeps the skin moisturized. The consistency is that of a thin lotion but not runny. For my foundation I used the Maybelline Better Skin Foundation in 10 Porcelain. I’ve had this foundation for awhile and I’m almost through it. It’s a good medium coverage foundation and the consistency isn’t too thick or thin. Plus it comes with a pump! For my concealer, I only did my under eyes because for once my skin is behaving. I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Fair. This is my third tube of this product I love it so much. I know a lot of people took the little sponge off the top but since I’m the only person using it, it doesn’t bother me. To set my face in place I used my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in 003 Natural. This is a cult classic, practically every beauty influencer I watch or read use this product and for good reason. It can set the eyelids along with the entire face.

For my blush and bronzer I used the St. Lucia duo from ELF Cosmetics. The blush is nice and subtle but I’m still formulating an opinion about the bronzer since I’ve only just started wearing bronzer. So I love the blush but the jury is out on the bronzer. For my highlighter I used the Ofra x NikkieTutorials Highlighter Everglow that I got when I signed up for the Allure Beauty Box. As you can see, it’s a wheel with three distinct colors. The darkest color is way to dark for me, it doesn’t even work mixed with the other two or all together. I use the two lighter shades, I normally mix them together like I did today but other days I will just use the lightest shade. The formula is really nice and blends easily. This is my first Ofra highlighter and now I’m keen to try others.

For my eyeshadow I used the Colourpop Perception palette. I used the color Culture in the crease, Revenge as the definer, Spill the Tea on the lid and Sassy in the inner half of my crease. I reverse engineered where you would usually put the darker lid color, I put it on the inside and traced it up into the crease. I did this on a whim and I actually think it looks pretty cool, I will have to do it more often. To line my upper lash line I used the Sistar Eye Contour Bold Liquid Liner (Marker Style) that I got at IMATS and on my waterline I used my much loved Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in ‘Perversion’. This liner has never let me down. It’s creamy, goes on easily, and lasts me the whole day. I tried something new with my eye brows this time. I just got The Brow Gal in Brown Hair 02 from a subscription box. I hadn’t tried it until today so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a review once I use it a bit more. It is a bit dark for me but if I use a light hand I can make it work. I then used my Essence Lash and Brow gel mascara (clear) to help tame some wild brow hairs. I finished off the eyes with my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I just love how this mascara makes my eyes and lashes look.

Finally we’ve reached lips. I chose my MAC Cremesheen lipstick in ‘Fanfare’. I think the pink hue of the lipstick would balance out the eyes nicely. Since I was going for a softer look, I didn’t line my lips with a lip liner so I just put the lipstick on with no prep.

|Here is the finished look|
