Hello my beauties! I figured I would do something a little different for today’s post, this is a post that will introduce me to you!

My name is Emma and I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre in 2014. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as the brittle bones disease. I’ve had close to 60 fractures that I know of and over 20 surgeries. I don’t let that stop me in any way, though. I had a surgery back in November and I’m still in a cast because of that but I’ve been in a cast since 2014 when I kept fracturing and having surgeries. Hopefully I’ll get to wear two matching shoes sooner rather than later! When I was in one of my first casts I attended a class and received my makeup artist certification. The people there were amazing and they signed my cast and I did something I’ve never done- I kept the signed part!

I love doing makeup, as this blog shows. I started doing makeup because of being in plays and musicals. Now, I actually volunteer at my Alma Mater doing the hair, makeup, props, and sound design for their fall play and spring musical. I started rough, and I’m going to show some pictures where I didn’t look so great and some where I finally started to learn what I was doing. I love that with makeup you are never done learning. There is always a new technique or trend just around the corner for us to try and master. I always seem to be behind the eight ball but I’m still cool with that, at least I usually figure it out in the end!

I have no clue what the far left one is from but it scares me 🤣 The second one is just, yich, and the last two were actually pulled from previous blog posts. You live and you learn and in my case, lose quite a bit of weight. One of my most favorite things to do with makeup is special effects, especially blood and gore. Compared to many, and even according to myself, I’m in the beginner/intermediate stage because I don’t useprostheticss but that is on my list of things to learn and get. I LOVE when I get to do gore either on myself or on someone else. I got to do it in a play I was in called Causa Mortis or The Medical Student, I got to play a quadriplegic amnesiac. It was so much fun! I got to do a little gore there and when I was learning how to do gore I sent my practice photo to my parents and they flipped. Good times.

I have a dog named Henry who I adopted about a month after I graduated college because George (our other dog) was dying and I couldn’t be without an animal so I went and chose Henry to be mine. More like he chose me, they brought him out to meet me and he jumped right into my lap when he saw me. My heart melted and paperwork was signed. His “gotcha day” is July 1.

I’ve gone through many hair phases over the years. My natural hair color is a light to medium blonde, now I’m a bright copper red and I’ve been that way for some time. I’ve also had brown and black hair color. For the longest time I only wanted long hair until towards the end of my last year of college, I chopped it off. Problem was I hated it because they basically gave me a bowl cut so because of that I let it grow out again. Fast forward to about six months ago and I was going to the hairdresser’s for what I thought was going to be just a trim. Thanks to Pinterest, though, I changed my mind last minute and chopped all of my hair off again but this time with the hairdresser I really like and trust. I love having this short hair, I like to spike it up.

I’m going to end with a question for all of you, what was your first high end purchase? Mine was the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I bought it as a poor college student and it is still one of my favorite palettes today. How about you?

That’s it for now! If you have ANY questions whatsoever, please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll be sure to respond. I love hearing what you have to say. I’ll see you all on Wednesday with a review! XO
Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be YOU!! Because you is the most beautiful you there is.

I wish I could remember my first high end purchase, it was so long ago!
I love the bloody makeup. I feel like that should be a weird thing to say but it’s true! Lol

No, I totally get it! My first high end piece, not purchased by me but my mom, was a Clinique cream compact for the theatre shows I was in at school.

Well, my first high end product was gifted as well—it was Clinique superbalance foundation. Now the first I actually bought myself? That’s definitely an I-don’t-know!
