What I Think Wednesday: Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick

Hello my beauties! For today’s review I chose a product I have fallen head over heels in love with- the Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick. I don’t just use this product for foundation, I also use it for cream contouring. You get 0.21oz of product for $9 which is actually on the lower side of things in the drugstore. You can get this foundation stick from Ulta Beauty either in store or online. They have a total of 18 shades in their range which I think is pretty good but there is room for improvement in that category for sure.

The foundation pictured above is the one I use as my foundation and I already have two back ups, I use the color F3. I have the backups because you can go through the stick very quickly and I don’t want to be without this one. This is a good stick foundation for those who are learning how to work with them. It is easy to go overboard which leads to cake face and your makeup slipping all over your face. It is really easy to blend in; I use a buffing brush after applying the product and then I use a damp Beauty Blender to smooth everything out. This foundation stick has easily become one of my holy grail foundations.

For cream contouring I use the colors F12, F14, F16, and F18. As I’ve mentioned these sticks are super creamy so when I tried cream contouring with them they blended out beautifully and didn’t leave any streaks. I do blend as I go and not all at once because I don’t want it to start to set in my skin. I use the different shades because sometimes you want a light contour and sometimes a darker one, it’s versatile. The foundation has a very prominent edge making applying the contour very easy. Sometimes I also do dots. It truly depends on how I’m feeling that day. Right now I’m leaning towards F14 and F16 but I think F12 will be great during winter and F18 will be good for the summer time. With this and the foundation, you really need to set the product well because it is really creamy and may slide around.

I really truly love this product and I’m so glad I gave it a go on a total whim. I would suggest it to those with dry or combination skin. If your skin tends to lean toward the oily side I would try to steer clear. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who asks. Do you use a stick foundation? I’d love to learn of other ones! XO
