Revolution Cut Crease Canvas

Hello my beauties! Is everyone having a good start to their week? I sure hope so! For today’s ‘What I Think Wednesday’, I decided to review a product that I’ve been using more and more now that I understand how to use it. I’m talking about the Revolution Cut Crease Canvas that I got at Ulta. To hear all about it, keep reading!

The product comes in a tube that looks just like their concealer tubes except it’s white. There are four different shades you can get: Halo (white), Illustrate (fair), Create (medium), and Etch (deep). Each tube is $9.00 but for what it’s used for, you get a good amount of product for the price. If you want to check it out click here and it will take you to the product page on Ulta’s website. As with any new makeup technique, I found it a little difficult to get used to. It comes with a paddle to apply the product. I found that really difficult to work with, especially as a beginner to the cut crease technique, but I found a brush I had from a brow product I had purchased. I wasn’t using it and it had both a flat and angled stiff brush which was exactly what I needed. The stiff brush gave me more control but still had a bit of give so making the arch around the eyeball was a lot easier. I am really happy with this product because it really makes whatever shadow you put on top of it pop and look really pigmented. I have found that some powder to set it isn’t a bad thing either. It’s not necessarily needed but it also doesn’t seem to hurt.

Here is an example with the product. I used the two dark blue colors from the Colourpop ‘Perception’ palette all over my lid and then I put the Cut Crease Canvas on and layered the silver glitter shadow from the Too Faced Bon Bon’s palette over top. I’m doing this look on a young lady for her prom. I’ve been practicing each night so I make sure that everything is perfect for her.

That’s it for today! What do you think of this product? Have you tried it or do you want to try it now? I’d love to hear your tips for a cut crease, so please share below! XO
