Weekly Faves #15- 4.29-5.5

Hello my beauties! I have always loved writing and reading ‘favorites’ posts, it helps me get ideas for new products to try. What are some of your favorite posts to read? I have quite a few to show you today, so let’s get to it!

My first favorite isn’t a beauty favorite but I always use it while getting ready and that’s Bath and Bodyworks 3-wick candles this week, and the past few weeks, I’ve been loving the Sun-Washed Petals candle. I love their floral candles, I really wish they would bring back that Amsterdam candle they had a few years back released around this time. It was scented like Tulips so if they could replicate that scent and bring it back, that’d be great thanks. Right now the three wick candles are on sale for $14.50 each where they are usually $24.50. Getting them during this sale or when they have the buy two get two free is my favorite way to get their candles because they are pricey.

A tool that I have really been loving this week is the Ulta Makeup Tape which you can get on their website for $7.00. At first I wasn’t a big fan but now I really love it and how it really helps you keep clean lines with your eyeshadow and eyeliner application. The only thing I don’t like is that it unwinds super easily, as you can see below. It still works the same, wound or not, so I would highly suggest picking it up. Especially if you’re like me and you can’t make a clean line with your eyeshadow freehand to save your soul.

I love lip scrubs but the ones I love the most come from Lush! This week I have especially been loving my Lush Mint Julips lip scrub. I have actually had this for awhile but the texture hasn’t changed and it doesn’t smell or taste off, so I think I’m still good. I like that it’s natural and made with sugar that way if you swallow some it won’t hurt you unlike the grittier ones made with shell pieces and such. They have so many great flavors, I’m sure you would find something that you would fall in love with.

Next up is a primer I’m currently obsessed with, the Milani Prime Shield Mattifying Primer. You can find this at Ulta for $9.99. I’ve never owned a drugstore primer until now and I have to say that I am pretty impressed with how well this actually works. I do agree that Milani is on the pricier end of drugstore but if you have a coupon for the drugstore area at Ulta you can actually get a really great deal.

During Beauty and the Beast we used this Mehron Barrier Spray. I found it on Amazon for a pretty good price so I ordered two. This stuff is incredible, though. We used it solely for the actor who played the Beast because he had face paints all over his face. We used this and his makeup didn’t budge even with all of the blotting of sweat that we had to keep doing, I was thoroughly impressed. I have found that this works well for every day makeup too. The spray is nice and fine so you’re not getting hit in the face with a stream of setting spray.

When the newest MAC collection was released (the Boom Boom Bloom collection), I decided to get my first bottle of Prep + Prime Fix+ because it was scented like Cherry Blossoms. I am so glad that I finally tried this cult favorite. I use it to melt all of my makeup together before I use my setting spray. It makes my makeup look seamless and I love that! They have four scents that are always available: Orignal, Coconut, Lavender, and Rose. Fix+ is $27.00.

I got the Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm with an SPF of 45 a month or so ago in the Light to Medium color. I had had a sample of the Black Label Detox BB Cream by him and I liked it but it was a tad too dark so when I saw this one had three options I decided to give it a try. It costs $39.00 and is very worth it. It comes with a pump which is always a win and it can stand up on it’s own making it easy to store.

I have fallen in love with the Too Faced Sugar Peach Wet and Dry Face and Eye Palette from the Peaches and Cream Collection. The only color I have yet to try is the Peach Honey color. It’s a little too brown to be a blush so I’m going to use it as a bronzer. These are highly pigmented and I don’t notice much fall out when I use it. I love the Peach Pearl color for a highlighter, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Plus the packaging is too adorable!

I know I’ve mentioned these lip glosses before and I’ll do it again. They. Are. AMAZING. I own the colors Diamond Milk and FU$$Y. They feel really nice on the lips and high shine doesn’t even touch on how much these lip glosses shine! The only thing you might not like is that you can feel a bit of the glitter particles when you rub your lips together. I don’t really notice it anymore and even when I did I overlooked it because of how great I think these lip glosses are.

The final product I’ve been loving this week is the Revolution Cut Crease Canvas Eyeshadow Base in Halo. This came in so handy this week! I used it when doing prom makeup and I used it a few times on myself too. This gives a great base and with Halo I feel the colors are more vibrant because it is white. I find it easiest to apply with an angled or straight cut eyebrow brush. I found using the paddle in the product to lead to glops of color where I didn’t want it and it made it difficult to apply.

That’s it, my beautiful friends! What have you loved this week? Do you use any of these products too? I’d love to chat, so be sure to leave a comment down below! XO
