boscia Mermaid Mask

A week or two ago I received the boscia Mermaid Fire and Ice Cryosea Peel-off Mask for review free from Influenster. This is my FIRST product from Influenster under my new blog. I’m not really a ‘peel-off’ mask kind of person but to see my thoughts on this one check out what I have to say below!

The packaging definitely looks magical, it’s a pastel rainbow gradient with a mermaid swimming by on the front. The product itself comes in a white squeeze tube packaging. You get 2.8oz in the tube for $39. You can find this mask at Ulta, you can get it instore or online. The amount of product available with a face mask varies greatly upon who the maker is.

The product itself is pretty thick so squeezing it out of the tube takes a bit of pressure but not a lot. The mask comes out an iridescent grey color with a blue shift. This is definitely the prettiest face mask I’ve ever had, that’s for sure. Like I’ve found with other peel off masks, it’s easier for me to apply this with my hands instead of a brush like I do with all of my other face masks.

Enough shop talk, what’s this mask like? It is definitely the most interesting mask I have ever used, that’s for sure! As you can see in the name “Fire and Ice Peel-off Mask” it has the possibility of giving you an interesting experience. It applies nicely, like any other mask. Then the ‘fire and ice’ promise is fulfilled. It feels mentholated, almost like a slightly less potent version of Icy Hot. Now, this might deter some people but while you can tell something is happening it isn’t uncomfortable. I actually found the experience quite nice. The tingling mentholated feeling doesn’t fade, either. I would say that unless you have very VERY sensitive skin, this would be something you would like. The amount you need to cover your face in an even coat depends on your face size and how thick you want the layer to be. Too thin and it just breaks up, too much it never dries. You have to find your own happy medium. You can leave this on for 20 minutes or until it feels completely dry, whichever comes first. Now, the reason I don’t like peel-off masks is because they don’t peel-off cleanly and sometimes it can hurt like no tomorrow. This peels off beautifully after the 20 minutes is up and it doesn’t hurt to peel it off. I’ve actually used it three times since I got it and I am even considering purchasing another tube when I finish off this one.

Are you going to try and pick this up? Or have you already tried it and have formulated your own thoughts? I would love to know! I hope you are having a great week and I’ll see you on Friday! XO

Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be YOU!!  Because you is the most beautiful you there is.
