Weekly Faves #16- May 6-12

And we’re back! Hello my beauties and a happy Mother’s Day weekend to you all! I just got back from a Mother’s Day tea at the Lion’s club in our town with my mom, my friend Gloria and her sister, mom, and aunt. This was my second year going but my mom’s first since she couldn’t go last year because of having surgery the day before. Last year I got lucky in the raffle and this year Gloria, her mom, AND her sister got lucky! Her sister got the plant she wanted so badly. By the time I got home today, I was wiped out but also excited to share this week’s favorites! I hope you like them to, or get some ideas as to what you want to get next 😉

  • Revolution Cut Crease Canvas in Halo– I’ve been working really hard to learn how to do the cut crease and to be comfortable doing it. This has been my saving grace. I’ve tried to use concealer but I just didn’t get along with it. You can get this from Ulta for $9. Rating: 9/10
  • Urban Decay single shadow in Midnight Cowboy– I love Urban Decay eyeshadows but this is one of the only single shadows I own from them. I love the ‘Midnight Cowboy’ shade because it has a fair amount of shimmer and glitter and it makes a GREAT all over wash when I’m running late. You can pick it up at Sephora, Ulta, or on their site and costs $20. Rating 10/10
  • Brand Unknown eyeliner in Bronze– I have had this color for quite a while but I never really used it until now. I didn’t want black and brown was boring so when I was rummaging around I spotted this. I have been wearing it more often than naught this week. It’s creamy and pigmented and a dream to use. Rating 8/10
  • Natasha Denona Bloom palette– I just got this palette and I have enjoyed using it so far. I use mainly the Glow cream highlighter/blush on the apples of my cheeks. I’m trying to get used to using cream products more than once in a blue moon. The powders are soft, though, and the creams are firm but the yield a lot of color. You can get this at Sephora for $55. Definitely not the cheapest but made up for in quality. Rating 8.5/10
  • Maybelline The City Mini Palette in 480 ‘Matte About Town’– I used to be that person who hated matte eyeshadows. Now I have a little palette of all mattes! I’ve been enjoying how versatile it is and how it makes using any palette, mattes or no mattes, great to use. I believe some of them have a little satin sheen but that doesn’t really transfer to the eyes. You can get this in a drugstore and at Ulta for $9.99. Rating 9/10
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Taupe– I usually prefer some form of pencil but I have been giving this a go and I have really been liking it! The powder is easy to work with. I like that it comes with two powders, one lighter one darker. I use the lighter on my inner brow and take it to the darker powder towards the tail. You can get it at Sephora and Ulta for $23. Rating 7/10
  • Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Nude Beach– I had bought this lipstick as a part of one of the Too Faced Christmas sets with two other lipsticks. This is the pinkier nude, which is what I prefer. This is one of the most comfortable lipsticks I have ever had the joy to wear. Since it is so soft and since it’s a nude, I feel comfortable putting it on without a mirror. They don’t carry this type of lipstick in Ulta and Sephora but you can still get it on the Too Faced website normally costing $19.80 currently on sale with the usual price being $22. Rating 10/10
  • Dose of Colors lip gloss in Just my Type– I LOVE these lip glosses! They smell like cupcakes! It is a neutral rosey pink color that is really flattering for my fair skin. It’s not super sticky and layers beautifully over the right lipsticks, like Nude Beach 😉 That has been my go to combo this week and I love it, obviously. It goes on nicely and the doe foot is more of a paddle doe foot which makes application, with or without a mirror, easy. You can get this at Ulta for only $17. Rating 10/10
  • Sephora Color Switch by Vera Mona– I got this about as soon as it was released. This. Is. A. Lifesaver. Seriously. I love that I can use the same brush for all of my shadows just by using this guy if I wanted or had too. They now have a mini size and I’m considering getting it for traveling. You can get this at Sephora and the mini is $14 and the full size is $18. Definitely worth the money. Rating 11/10
  • Beauty Blender Instaclean– I am relatively new to using this product but it really does remove stains from your Beauty Blenders! I was completely shocked when I tried it this week. I sprayed it on new and old stains, the new ones all but vanished and the older ones were significantly lightened. I’m excited to keep using this product so that I can formulate a full opinion on it. You can get this at Sephora for $16. Rating: 9/10

That’s it for this week’s favorites! Do you see anything you love (or hate)? I would love to hear from you, leave your comments down below! Have a great weekend! XO
