Hello beautiful people! For today’s post, as I’m sure you can see, I’m going to list the makeup I use in order of how I use it. How I do my makeup may be different from how you do yours and that’s AWESOME! I love reading posts like this which is why I wanted to share mine. This post will be very photo heavy with less words than I normally do (which is A LOT, I know it is 😜) Well, it looks like my intro isn’t shorter so let’s get to the pictures!!
Primer
I usually start with a primer and for the day to day I use this matte primer by Milani
Foundation
Even in my day to day I prefer to have medium to full coverage and the Maybelline Superstay fits the bill.
Concealer
Next comes concealer and I’ve been using this one (not this one) since college and it hasn’t failed me yet. Sometimes I will have this double as my eye primer.
Powder
I use the Coty Airspun for my whole face after I set my eye primer and under eye with Rimmel Stay Matte compact.
Blush
I love to use NARS Super Orgasm for the day to day, I don’t mind the chunky glitter and I love the sheen/shine it gives my cheeks.
Bronzer
I’m just starting out with bronzers but like many beauty lovers, gurus, etc. I have fallen for the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer.
Highlighter
Highlighter is probably in the top 3 of my most favorite face products and steps. I use the Mary Lou Manizer because it goes so well with my skin and how soft it is. I also love the Maybelline x NikkieTutorials highlighter for day to day.
Eyebrows
For my everyday kind of brows I use the ABH Brow Powder Duo in Taupe. I find it easier to use this instead of a pencil (which I also use) because I feel I have more control. Then I set them down with a clear mascara from Essence. I’m not picky about that.
Eyeshadow
I love the Matte About Town Maybelline palette for some simple neutral transitions and the palette I use a lot in the week is the I ❤ Revolution’s Nude Chocolate palette. It has a nice amount of shimmer and satins with a matte or two (enter Matte About Town). I can create a good amount of looks that I like just with these two palettes.
Eyeliner
I have my holy grail Urban Decay ‘Perversion’ for the top line and then my Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal waterproof pencil in 005 ‘Nude’. I find this really wakes the eyes up.
Setting Spray
I’ve just discovered the NYX Dewy Finish setting spray and it’s perfect for every day. It makes my makeup melt into my skin and look fresh but without looking oily.
Mascara
The L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black and Voluminous primer have been much loved the past few weeks. It’s not clumpy and looks good even if you do just one swipe
Lips
I have absolutely fallen in love with the Revlon Colorburst lipstick/balms. Unfortunately I can only get them on Amazon for fairly high prices because they’re selling duos mainly. I will continue to hunt it down but I am happy with what I do have, too.
