Vacation Mini Makeup Haul

I’ve been lucky enough this week to have spent the last few days in Palm Springs with my mom and my godmother. While there, I had my Colourpop order arrive and while in Palm Springs I visited the Sephora and MAC stores in downtown. I love the Colourpop BYOP sales, so I try to always take advantage and Sephora is, well, Sephora. I’m a beauty blogger, how could I resist. There isn’t a picture, but I also got these really cut booties on major clearance from the Birkenstock store. They were clearanced because they were slightly discolored from being on display. Let’s see what came in!

I picked the Holographic palette from Colourpop and I went with the two face items and the sixteen eyeshadows. I picked a highlighter and a blush from the face items and along with mattes and shimmers, I got two of the newer pressed glitters. I got the glitters ‘Light Show’ and ‘Hungry Ghost’. They are gorgeous but are a bit chunky but I don’t mind. All of the other shades are gorgeous and creamy and live up to their new reputation of great pressed shadows. I just absolutely adore everything I have tried from Colourpop so far, I recommend them to everyone.

From MAC I purchase a Lustre lipstick in Giddy. It’s a gorgeous pinky nude that glides on smoothly and has a medium but buildable coverage. Since it is a lustre finish, it’s not at all drying on my lips. They’re celebrating Pride Week so with every purchase you got the interchangeable top you see on the lipstick in the picture as well as a little rainbow reusable bag. I’m absolutely in love!

From Sephora I purchased my first Fenty Beauty face products. Mini Pro Filt’r Instant Re-Touch powder in ‘Butter along with the Killawatt highlighter in Lightning Dust and Fire Crystal. I’ve been eyeing the Killawatt highlighters for awhile but I didn’t know what to get until I saw this one in the store. It’s got a really shimmery side and a more subtle, lit from within kind of glow. I also got the powder because I’ve been on the hunt to try a new powder in between using my favorite Laura Mercier powder. This specific powder is matte. I have two of the lip glosses but up until now I didn’t own any of the face products, now I can give them a try!

I also picked up the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in ‘Prismatic Amethyst’. I really like how light purple highlighters look on my fair skin. I was using the two in the Morphe DD highlighter palette and they are fantastic but I’m excited to finally get to try this!

I’ve been hunting for a new tinted brow gel and when I saw the Benefit 3D Browtones in shade 2. I’m glad it’s not super small, which has kept me from trying some of the other brow products from Benefit. This, on the other hand, is a nice size and looks like it will be perfect for what I’m looking for.

I doubt I will EVER let myself purchase a full size Natasha Denona palette but when I was at Sephora, the mini palettes which are usually $25 were half off. I really wanted the Sunset palette but they were out of that so I went with my second choice, the Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette. Since I don’t have a full size palette to compare the formula to, I think I will enjoy this even more because I won’t be comparing every last inch of this palette to the full size. I’m trying to block out the fact that people say the formulation of the mini palettes are no where as good as the full size palettes.

There you have it! Now back to my low/no buy, lol. I also got a few pieces from the Ordinary skincare line but it arrived after all of the products were edited and uploaded. Have you picked up any goodies recently? I’d love to know what you’re loving! XO❤
