My Morning Skincare Routine

Today I’m going to start a little skincare series inspired by Allie Glines. She did a skincare week and that sparked the idea in my head to share my skincare routine too. Today I’m going to share my morning skincare routine with you. I always find these posts to be of so much help to me and I hope it can be of help to you! I will try to link to as many products as possible. These are not affiliate links, I just want to make it easier for you to find the products if you want any.

First I wash my face with the Unari il-luminate milk cleanser. I just started using this wash recently but I absolutely love it for the morning! It’s very gentle and cleanses my skin from the nighttime grime and really helps to soothe my skin. Then I wipe my face down with the Soap and Glory Glamour Clean Toning Micellar Water. I find that this prepares my face by removing any other impurities that the wash missed. It’s very gentle and there is no scent. I then tone my face with the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Toner. This can sting a tiny bit when you first apply it but it has really helped with keeping my acne at bay. I find that this makes my skin feel really clean and ready for makeup.

I do not have individual pictures of the last few products, but I will provide links. After toning I use my Sephora C+E Vitamin Super Serum. I like this serum a lot, it really helps to give a good glow to my skin. It’s not super oily or super thick, it’s right in the middle. Then, if I’m wearing makeup, I apply The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + 1% Serum. This is a great base before my primer. It is a bit thick but that means a little goes a long way. Not that it’s super expensive to purchase at $5.90. I then apply my moisturizer which is the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Rescue Gel/ Cream for normal to combo skin. I discovered this moisturizer about a year ago and I haven’t tried anything since because I like this one so very much. I do use eye cream in the morning and I use the Clinique Pep Start eye cream. This really helps with the puffiness I have under my eyes when I get up. It is very creamy and applies beautifully.

And that is my morning skincare routine. I know, it’s a lot of products, but finally using these products every morning has really helped my skin. I still have a long way to go, texture and large pores are what I’m attacking at this point. I’ve got some new products to try when I run out of the other products. Over the past year, I’ve really started to enjoy shopping and trying out different skincare products. Before that, though, I really could have cared less about skincare. Boy, do times change.
