Hello my beauties and welcome back, or if you’re new, welcome! I had bought a Bite Beauty Agave lip kit at Christmas and I figured that it would be good to review the products. What better way to do that than to compare it to my favorite lip conditioning products? Today I will be comparing the Bite Agave lip products I have to the Laneige lip products I have. I will try to link to the products so if you’re interested you can click straight to them! I’m such a good enabler, lol. Keep reading to see what I have to say.
First up, the Bite Agave Lip Mask and the Bite Agave Daytime Balm. These are only minis but there certainly was enough product for me to decide whether I enjoyed the products or not. Let’s start with the daytime balm. First, this product is soft. Very soft. Especially for a daytime balm. With my heater running I couldn’t use this product because it made it so soft it would break each time I would try to use it. It is on the heavier side, which I like, but it’s also very oily which I do not like. I would consider purchasing the full size but it’s not on the top of my list. Next, the lip mask. I was so excited to try this product because of how everyone just raves about this product. Sadly, I was very let down. I really hate that it’s in a squeezy tube that you have to put the product on your finger. That doesn’t bug me too much but you really had to squeeze to get the product out. I found this to be extremely oily and slippy all over my lips. I don’t like super oily lip products, they never help my lips. This is something I would not purchase the full size of, I just didn’t like it. I know, unpopular opinion right there. All in all I just wasn’t impressed by the products even with all of the hype around them.
Now for my Laneige products, first is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask along with the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm. This is my second lip sleeping mask, not counting the three minis I’ve used up since I started using this last year. Both of these products are in the Berry scent. I know I said I didn’t like using my finger to apply the Agave lip mask but that was because you had to squeeze it out, this one you scoop right out which gives me more control over how much I put on and so I don’t waste product by squeezing too much out. I truly love the lip sleeping mask. It’s super hydrating and leaves my lips feeling nourished and soft. Yes, there is a bit of oil but not so much as the Bite products. I also don’t wear this only at night; if I’m having a lazy day at home, I’ll pop this on my lips and be good. The glowy balm is newer to my collection but I really enjoy it too. Yes, it comes in a squeezy tube, which isn’t my favorite, but this is easier to control. I like the slanted tip applicator making it great for precision application. I find that the scent of both products, while definitely noticeable, isn’t so strong that it gives me a headache or makes me feel sick. Both of these products I will repurchase time and again because, in my mind, they’re just perfect for my lips.
So there you have it, I can do without the Bite Agave collection but I have to have the Laneige lip sleeping mask and glowy balm. Have you tried any of these products, or do you love the Agave more?
