Review: Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Foundation

April 1, 2020

Hello my beauties and thank you for stopping by! Today I’m going to be reviewing the Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Foundation in ‘Fair’. I receievd this product as part of my Ipsy box subsription. You could choose a product for your box and this is what I picked. To check it out and see what I think, keep reading!

The product arrives in what looks to be a squeezy tube. It is not a squeezy tube with a pump or just an opening on the end. The applicator is a very large doe foot applicator. I have one, quite sizeable, thing that I do not like about this product. I’m talking about the applicator. Now I know what you’re thinking, ‘but you love the doe foot on the Revolution concealer!’ and I do. I don’t have a problem with the applicator itself for applying foundation. I have a problem with how tight they made the hole that the wand comes out of. This means that, unless you’re very very careful, you wind up getting foundation splatters everywhere. I got some on my backdrop today just by opening it up to take the pictures! Trust me, I was not happy. The product itself is where everything is made good again. It’s a nice medium coverage foundation, the shade I picked online matches beautifully. I use my Beauty Blender when I apply this (or any other) foundation but I think I’m going to try a brush with this because it seems to me to have a great consistency that would work really well with a brush. It’s not a mattifying foundation nor is it a glowy one, it just makes your skin look healthy and radiant, without all of the shimmer. So, in conclusion, I like the product but I hate the packaging.

Have you tried this foundation? Is yours difficult and messy to work too, or is it just me? Thank you so so much for stopping by.
