My Current Favorite Mascaras

Hello my beauties and thanks for stopping by today! Today I want to share with you the mascaras I am currently loving and I’d love to know which ones you’re loving too! I’m always on the lookout for new mascaras to try. As you’ll see as I go along showing you, you will notice I really like natural bristles. I used to like the plastic ones too but I find the natural bristles make my lashes look, like, WHAM! Let’s go!

First up we have the L’Oreal Voluminous line. I have the L’Oreal Voluminous Base Primer* and the L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof mascara. I love using them together as well as alone or under another mascara but they work best together. This is a classic mascara in my book, everyone has at least heard of it, and probably it was one of their first mascaras! I know it was mine 😊 They really bring a lot of volume to the lashes, they definitely hold up to their claims. When I use the primer I notice that my lashes hold a curl even better and that my lashes look even blacker (if that’s even possible!). The Carbon Black is still good to wear on its own too, I will wear it when I am not going after ridiculously voluminous lashes. I love it alone on my no makeup, makeup days.

I love everything Colourpop and their mascaras are no different! I got these within the last six months and I really love them. I bought four colors when I ordered but the two I use the most are Black on Black and Brownie Points. I use black mascara more often than not but the Brownie Points BFF Volumizing Mascara has me drifting! If I’m not really going out one day or want a very natural look, I’ve started reaching for the Brownie Points mascara over the Black on Black. The wand is very reminiscent of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara which is one of my all-time favorite mascaras. I haven’t noticed these mascaras flaking on me and, since they’re not waterproof, they’re a bit easier to get off at the end of the night. They give me length and volume but not clumpy volume. It’s so easy to apply and I only need two coats to get my lashes to where I like them. I also love and use the white and teal I own as well!

The last mascara on this list is the newer Too Faced Damn Girl! mascara. I already love their Better Than Sex mascara, so when this mascara came out I couldn’t pick up the mini fast enough. The brush is just like that of the Better Than Sex but quite a bit larger. At first it took a few trial and error applications to get used to working with the brush but once I got it, I LOVED the look. My lashes look so full and fluttery. They don’t really clump up and they don’t look spidery either, which are things I really don’t like about mascara especially the spidery look. The brush grabs every lash and coats it and makes my lashes very dark and dramatic. I absolutely adore this mascara but I’m going to have to get rid of it soon but that’s okay- I bought the full size during the VIB Rouge sale at Sephora!
