May 2020 Favorites

Hello my beauties and welcome back to my blog. I’m sorry for no post on Sunday, things kinda just went awry and I didn’t get a chance so I’m sharing my May 2020 Favorites on June 3… close enough right? I’ve got some that you can probably guess that I’ve been loving but others that might shock you. I had a lot of fun going through my makeup pulling what I had really loved over the last month. Let’s jump into it!

One that doesn’t come as a surprise I’m sure is the Natasha Denona Love Glow face palette. I picked this guy up during the VIB Rouge sale and haven’t put it down. The top right corner is the most gorgeous peachy glittery cream blush shade. The only shade I haven’t tried yet is the bottom right. It looks like it would be a bit too gold for my skin as a highlight but I’ve got to try it to find out to make the final decision don’t I?

The next product in my May 2020 Favorites is my Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette which just happens to be in my project pan. This month, I rarely put it down. I made some really nice soft, everyday looks and even went glam one or two times with this palette. The shimmers are so soft and pigmented and the mattes blend like a dream. I have never had a problem with any of my ABH palettes and this one is definitely standing the test of time.

Up next on the list, I have my new Colourpop Ulta Exclusive She’s Got Solstice palette. To be honest, I initially purchased this palette because of the pink shimmer shade and the green shimmer shade. This is a beautiful palette and I had to include it in my May 2020 Favorites! The palette has three shimmers, five mattes, and a Super Shock shadow. I made some really nice looks with this palette and I’m still playing with it and making looks. Let me know if you would like a review of this palette or a Colourpop Collection.

I used my Fenty Gloss Bombs a lot this past month. I have the shades Diamond Milk, Fu$$y, and $weet Mouth. Diamond Milk is my favorite, I used it to top a lot of my liquid lipsticks to add a bit shine. I love wearing Fu$$y on its own and as for $weet Mouth, I do a bit of both. They aren’t sticky, they apply beautifully, and you don’t need a lot of product to coat all of your lips.

Two of the lip balms I’ve been loving during the month of May are the Pat McGrath Lip Fetish lip balm and the Tarte SEA Quench Lip Rescue Balm in Rose. I got both of them in one of the Sephora collection bags. The one I got was all about lip balms. I use the Pat McGrath one when I’m doing my makeup to prep my lips. I use the Tarte one when I want moisture but I also want a bit of color. I love the Tarte one, it has a cooling minty sensation and scent. It isn’t over powering, it’s just right.

For primer this month, I’ve been loving the Milk Hydro Grip Primer which I reviewed not too long ago, to check it out click here. I’ve been enjoying this product so much, it grips my makeup but doesn’t irritate my skin. I had never used a gel formula before with a primer but I’ve discovered I really like it! It’s a tad bit cooling when I apply it too which is greatly appreciated.

The NYX Control Freak brow gel had to be in my May 2020 Favorites! I’ve been using this for awhile but this month was especially good. It kept my brow hairs looking groomed, even when they weren’t. It’s not sticky and it doesn’t make my brows crunchy, which is always on my complaint list for a lot of brow gels.

I’ve been loving quite a few Colourpop products this month. Two of them are, the No Filter Matte Foundation and the Supershock Shadow in Swan from the Rumer Has It collection. Unfortunately, you can’t get ‘Swan’ anymore but they have so many Super Shock Shadows, I’m sure you could find something comparable. I really enjoy wearing the Colourpop foundation when it starts to get hot out because it’s matte and it’s very light on the skin. In my opinion, it looks like a second skin type of foundation.

The last Colourpop products I’ve been loving this month are the Blush Stix. From left to right the colors are; More is More, Aloha, and 25/8. More is More is the only one with shimmer, the other two seem to not have any shimmer but they are in no means ‘flat’. I am loving using these with the warm weather. I will skip powdering my whole face and use one of these cream blushes. It truly gives you a naturally flushed look. I HAD to include them in my May 2020 Favorites!

Now, when I do powder my whole face, I’ve been using the new Urban Decay Waterproof All Nighter Setting Powder. This was sent to me by Influenster for the purpose of review, which you can read here. With summer finally being here, the waterproof claim was put to the test when I’m out and about and sweating and it holds up to the claim! This is currently my favorite pressed powder.

    • I would suggest starting with a basic WordPress site to start with. I’ve tried other ones but I prefer WordPress over all others. Then once you’re a bit more established, you can invest in your own domain name and get a plan etc. I hope that helped!
