Hello, my beauties and thanks for stopping by today. When I went to do my makeup today, I let a random number generator pick my eyeshadow palette and it picked the Urban Decay ‘Born to Run’ palette. At first, I wasn’t too thrilled, check out my Eyeshadow Palette Tag to see why, but I thought it would be good to try another look with the palette. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the palette it’s just not the first Urban Decay eyeshadow palette I would reach for when given a choice. So I went about creating a look with the palette. I wanted it to be paired with glowy skin so I made sure my face products reflected that. Keep on reading to see what I used and to see how the look turned out.

Base
Primer: Becca Backlight Priming Filter
Foundation: Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Foundation in F2
Concealer: Revolution Conceal and Define concealer in C1 and C3 (Project Pan)
Baking Powder: Ciate Extraordinary Translucent Powder
Eye Primer: NYX Jumbo Pencil in 604 ‘Milk’
Eye Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 003 ‘Natural’
I didn’t powder my whole face with this makeup look because I wanted a fresher and more dewy complexion. I haven’t used my Becca primer in what feels like forever but I’m so glad I decided to use it today, it gave me just the right amount of glow. I like using the Milk pencil because I find the white base makes the shadows I choose more vibrant.

Face
Cream Blush: Natasha Denona Love Glow Cheek palette in ‘Super Glow’
Powder Blush: Natasha Denona Bloom Face palette in ‘Duo Glow’
Bronzer: Tarte Park Ave Princess bronzer
Highlighter: Marc Jacobs O!Mega Glaze in 80 Worth the Wait
I absolutely adore the Natasha Denona four product face palettes. They were how I was introduced to Natasha Denona actually, and are the reason I started wearing cream products again. They are gorgeous and blend like a dream. I decided I wanted a bronzer that had a bit of sheen for this makeup look, so I went with the only one I have that has any sheen to it. It’s one you have to build up, which is great because I’m still not the best at using bronzer. As for the highlighter, you can see that pan so you know I love it!

Eyebrows and Eyeliner
Eyebrow Pencil: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in ‘Taupe’
Eyebrow Gel: NYX Control Freak brow gel
Top Liner: Illamasqua liquid liner in ‘Black’
Waterline: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eyeliner in ‘Perversion’
I’m almost finished my Control Freak brow gel! Another product for an empties post. I am waiting for the Illamasqua liner to run out because I use it every. single. day. I like it but I’ve got others I can play with so I won’t get a new one when the time comes. As for the Urban Decay liner, it is my holy grail black pencil liner. It’s creamy, super black, and stays where I put it as long as I don’t rub my eyes. If you’re looking for a new black pencil liner in the higher end of makeup, I always will suggest this liner.

Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow Palette: Urban Decay ‘Born to Run’ palette
-Transition: Riff
-Crease/Outer V: Good as Gone
– Inner and outer third: Wanderlust
– Center lid: Ignite
– Inner Corner: Stranded
– Brow Bone: Blaze
I love the colors in this palette but sometimes I have trouble mixing and matching. With today’s makeup look, however, I saw the colors and a look popped right into my mind. I decided to do a Halo Eye. I haven’t done one of those in an age so I had a lot of fun playing around trying to get it right. I always have to remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect. It’s just makeup and it’s meant to be fun, don’t stress over it. And that’s exactly what I did today for the look.

Lashes and Lips
Eyelash Primer: L’Oreal Voluminous Base (check it out here with my favorite mascaras)
Mascara: Too Faced Better than Sex mascara
Lipstick: Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in ‘Naked’
Lip Gloss: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in ‘Diamond Milk’
Since my eyes were going to be so dark, I wanted something light on my lips and the Urban Decay lipstick I used adds a hint of color (it’s not as dark as it is in the picture) to my lips. I then decided that my lips needed to look juicy so I added my favorite Fenty Gloss to the mix. It really amped up the look. I just opened my new Too Faced Better than Sex mascara so it’s a bit wetter than I would like but with the primer my lashes still looked great. Full and long and voluminous.

Set It
Face Mist: Pixi Glow Mist
Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
I use the Pixi Glow Mist before my setting spray because it helps to melt my makeup into my skin and helps the base products look more like a second skin. Once everything is patted in and melted, then I hit my face with my setting spray which today was the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray- a cult classic. It was my first setting spray and is one I still purchase again and again even though I have others I like now too.

The Look
Here is the final look, what do you think? I definitely got that healthy glowy looking skin I was going for. I really think the glossy lip amped the look up just a bit, which I love. I think the halo eye turned out pretty good since I haven’t done a halo eye in what feels like forever. Do you like to do halo eyes? Let me know in the comments!
