Hello, my beauties, and welcome! Today I finally feel that I have tried this mascara long enough to give a good review about it. I’m talking about the Lancome Monsieur Big Waterproof mascara which you can find here at Ulta. I’ve been testing out this mascara for about two months now. I’m excited to share my thoughts with you so let’s go!

First, let’s start off with the actual product. I bought the waterproof version because I tend to prefer those but not in this case. I find this mascara very difficult to remove at the end of the day but on the bright side it doesn’t flake or smudge throughout the day. I’ve discovered the best way to get it all off is to use a cleansing balm or oil and then my Makeup Eraser and then, after I wash my face with my normal cleanser, I take some Bioderma on a cotton round and wipe off anything that is left on my lashes and around my eyes. A bit excessive but I’ve found that this is what works. The product is a good consistency, a bit wet at first but when it has a bit of time to dry out it works quite nicely. The brush itself is a natural bristle brush but the bristles, as you can see above, are super short and quite spikey. It feel really strange putting the mascara on because it feels like I’m raking through my lashes instead of coating them. It does coat them, obviously, but it just feels strange. I have to be careful when applying it because it can make my lashes look spidery and clumped together. I have to remember to wiggle the brush only a tiny bit if I don’t want a lot of clumping. I know some people like that look but it’s just not for me. Below are pictures with it on: no mascara, one coat, two coats, and three coats. I find that you don’t really need the third coat as it doesn’t add much.

As you can see, not much difference between coat two and coat three. I do like this mascara but would I repurchase it? No, I would not repurchase it. At least, not the waterproof version, maybe the regular mascara is a bit better. I’ll have to look into that. Have you tried this mascara? What are your thoughts on it?
