Empties 2: April to July

Hello my beauties and welcome! As you can see, today’s post is all about my empties. I’ve gone through quite a lot over the past few months, it seems that way at least. I love empties posts because it gives me an idea as to what people are loving! Let’s just jump right in!

Let’s start off with lotions and body creams! My favorite hand cream is Hand Food by Soap and Glory (closely followed by Gold Bond). I finished this one up in April and, after finishing my Gold Bond, I was able to get a new tube and put it in my studio. I love the light scent and I only need a little bit to really moisturize my hands. I absolutely adore the Wild Argan Oil Body Butter from The Body Shop. I mostly use this only at night on my hands, my feet, and my elbows. It is so moisturizing, I absolutely love it and the scent isn’t too heavy but it still smells amazing. This is the thickest one of their body butters. Then I have two scents from Bath and Body Works: Calm and Sleep. These body creams are from their aromatherapy line which is my absolute favorite. I always have two going at once and I use them before bed, all over my arms and legs. The scents really help me to wind down for the night.

I went through a lot of skincare these past few months. I finished off a full tub of the Clean it Zero makeup removing balm. It worked okay but definitely is not my favorite makeup removing wash. I also finished off the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser that I had gotten in an Ipsy box. I did enjoy the wash, I only used it at night, but not enough to want to spend the $40+ to go and buy it. I finished up my GlamGlow Clear Mud Mask. I haven’t finished a mask in a long time. I will definitely be repurchasing this product in the near future. It really helped to clear up and keep my skin clear. I went through a full size of my current favorite face oil, the Maracuja Oil by Tarte. I’ve been using little samples for awhile and I finally broke down and bought the full size and I’m so glad I did. It makes my face really soft. I only use it at night though because it can make me look really oily. I finished off the Olay Eyes Retinol 24 eye cream that I had received as PR through Influenster. I liked how this eye cream felt and I did notice a difference in the discoloration under and around my eyes. I finished the Sephora C+E face oil. Now this one I would use during the day because it didn’t make me look or feel greasy. It was fine, I just didn’t really see much of a difference in anything with it so I will not be buying it again. Lastly I finished off the Garnier Skin Active Gel Cream for Normal to Combo skin. I love this moisturizer. I’m using one from Sunday Riley right now but when that is done I will almost definitely be going back to this. It’s an amazing moisturizer, it makes my skin feel prepped and ready for whatever I was about to throw at it. It didn’t break me out and it kept my oils in check.

I only have four things that are more on the makeup side of this but only two of them are actually makeup. Let’s start with the Wander Beauty Mile High Club mascara. I thought it was okay, it got better when it got toward the end but personally I don’t think that it was anything to write home about. I finished another Revolution Conceal and Define concealer in C3. The Revolution Conceal and Define concealers are some of my favorites, C1 is my favorite for highlighting and under the eyes. I already have a back up ready to go into rotations. I finally finished my Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet perfume. Which makes me sad because it’s my favorite perfume, but I have bought the rollerball so that should hold me for a while. Lastly is the Peaceful Night pillow mist from Alchemy. This was perfect, I would spray it on my pillows and sheets every night before I got into bed. This and the aromatherapy lotions really helped me to unwind each night.

That’s it folks! Wow, it seemed like more when I was taking the pictures. What have you finished up recently? I’d love to know!
