Hello my beauties, and welcome to my little corner of the beauty world! Today I want to tell you about my ten favorite lip glosses. It was supposed to be five but I just couldn’t narrow it down! I love lip gloss because of how easy it is to apply and, if necessary, can be done without a mirror. They don’t last long, none of these claim to, but they’re all great colors and the different formulations make them all deserving of a mention. I would love to know what your top lip glosses are, so be sure to leave it in the comments down below! And awaaayy we go!
Dose of Colors lip gloss in ‘Just My Type’– This was my first ever purchase from the brand Dose of Colors. It’s a really nice pinky-nude that glides onto the lips easily and smells divine. For me, the color is one of those “my lips but better” kind of colors. I don’t even put this with all of my other lip products, I keep it front and center on my vanity because I use it so much. If I can’t pick a color and want a pinky-nude gloss, I’ll immediately reach for this. It’s pretty opaque and and work with or without a lip liner. The consistency is very creamy and there is no shimmer. It’s not sticky and is very comfortable to wear and reapply throughout the day. I bought mine from Ulta but they are also available on the Dose of Colors site.
Jules Smith Beauty lip gloss in ‘Serene Queen’– I got this lip gloss in a Power Gloss Duo in my October 2019 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus box. This is a really nice mid-toned pink with a gold shimmer running through it. It has an average size doe foot applicator. The gloss itself isn’t very opaque so it works nicely over lipsticks (traditional or liquid), it amps up the look of whatever is underneath of it. When I want something easy to apply that will go with just about any makeup look I create, I tend to reach for this. It’s not very sticky and it leaves a glass like finish on the lips which is something I really like. Since it is on the more sheer side, it’s very easy to reapply without a mirror when you’re on the go. As far as I can tell you can only get this product from the Jules Smith Beauty website.
NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Strawberry Cheesecake’– Of course a Butter Gloss has to be a part of this list! These glosses are so amazing and so comfortable to wear, this one usually finds it’s way into my purse each week even if I hadn’t pulled it as one of my lip products for the week. This gloss is very opaque and is great as a stand alone lip product. The color is a really nice bright, but not annoyingly so, pink. I find them to be very hydrating and not sticky at all. They smell amazing too, very sweet but not sickeningly so. I’ve had this gloss for awhile and it’s still going strong and hasn’t gone off. There isn’t any shimmer in this gloss but it’s very shiny when applied. Since it is so opaque, I do like to use a mirror when I reapply when I can but it’s easy to do it without too. I bought mine from Ulta but you can get these glosses anywhere NYX products are sold.
Wet n Wild Megaslicks lip gloss in ‘Berried Treasure’– My best friend gave this to me as part of my birthday gift. Until then, I had only really tried their Liquid Catsuit lip glosses which are pretty hit and miss color wise for me. This color is a pinky-berry color. There is some shimmer running through it but you can’t feel it on your lips. It’s not super thick so it doesn’t feel too heavy on the lips. I like to use this alone or over a berry toned lipstick or lip stain, it really makes the color beneath richer when I slap it on top. This gloss has no scent and it’s only slightly taller than a NYX Butter Gloss and the tube is rather slim. I like to reapply this gloss with a mirror since it is a berry tone, I don’t want to get it outside my lip lines. I’m not sure where my friend got this but I’m guessing you can get it anywhere Wet n Wild is sold.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in ‘Diamond Milk’– This was my first Gloss Bomb, now I have three because I love them so much but this one is still my favorite out of all of the ones I own. This gloss is definitely one of, if not the, thickest lip gloss on this list. While it is thick, it’s not too terribly sticky so I don’t mind it. This is a clear gloss with glitter in it but you can’t feel the glitter on your lips. I love to use this alone and as a topper, it really makes the color beneath it pop. The doe foot on the lip gloss is HUGE but that makes it easier to apply in my opinion. Since this gloss is clear it’s a breeze to apply without a mirror and even though the applicator is large, it doesn’t make it more difficult to apply without going over your lip lines. I keep this gloss on the top of my vanity as well, all three of them actually. I like options. I bought mine at Sephora but I bet you can also get it on the Fenty Beauty website.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Vibrant Raspberry– I discovered this lip gloss thanks to WannaMakeup on YouTube. This has to be the most hydrating lip gloss I have every used. The color itself is very opaque and very pink. The color is a mid-toned pink but it’s very bright. It has no scent and is applied with a doe foot applicator. I use this product so much, it’s actually in my Project Pan for this year- check out my latest update here. It’s hard to tell how much I’ve used but this is always on my vanity for when I don’t know what to use and so I can use it whenever I want. Whenever I’m running late or feeling lazy, I’ll slap on some mascara and this gloss and I feel ready to conquer the day. I bought mine at Walmart but you can find it anywhere Neutrogena is sold.
Colourpop x Kathleen Lights collab lip gloss in ‘Moon Child’– I bought this lip gloss on the recommendation of Allie Glines on YouTube. At first I wasn’t sure because it is so nude and swatches very opaque on my hand. Luckily, I am able to sheer it out so it doesn’t give me that concealer lip look. This is a true nude lip gloss with a gold shimmer running through it. I’ve used it so much you can see that all of the writing has worn off. When I first bought this, it never left my purse. This is really easy to apply without a mirror when you need to reapply it. It’s a doe foot applicator and the product doesn’t glop up or anything on it, so you get the right amount of product. It is very comfortable on the lips and it’s not drying at all. There is no scent. The gloss is still available on their site but is currently sold out.
Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in ‘Wolfie’– I fell in love with this gloss the moment I saw it on their site. It’s an Ultra Metallic lip gloss and it’s a deep berry red tone. I love to wear this during the winter and the holidays. Unlike all of the other glosses I’ve shown and am going to show you, this one you really do need a mirror to reapply because it is so dark and metallic. As well, it is noticeable when it wears off. It doesn’t really leave a ring but you can tell that something used to be there that’s not there anymore. This is really comfortable on my lips and it glides on easily for a bold lip that doesn’t take too much effort. It is definitely a statement lip. It has a doe foot applicator and doesn’t have a scent. Unfortunately I can’t find this on their website anymore so I’ll be sad when I finish this off.
Colourpop Ultra Glossy lip in ‘Feedback’– This is a really bright pink lip gloss that has glitter running through it. Unlike the colors above, this applicator is a brush applicator. For me, sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s a good addition when you want to amp up a pink lipstick or lip stain, just apply this over top and it looks great. There is no scent with this gloss, which I like. It’s not very sticky but it still leaves an amazing shine behind. Since the color isn’t very opaque, it’s not too noticeable when this wears off. You don’t really feel the glitter when you are wearing this gloss either. Unfortunately, this lip gloss doesn’t seem to be available anymore but there are many comparable options to choose from.
Colourpop Disney Designer Collection lip gloss in ‘Boo’– This is probably my favorite Colourpop gloss out of all of the ones I own, unfortunately it was limited edition and it can’t be bought anymore. I’m currently looking for a dupe. This is the perfect “my lips but better” gloss on me, it’s a pinky nude with a hint of mauve in it. There is not shimmer in this gloss and I actually prefer it that way with this one. Unlike the gloss above, this gloss has a doe foot applicator making it really easy to apply. Since it’s such a nude type gloss, I can easily apply this without a mirror. The color itself is quite opaque and really makes my lips look juicy.

I’m starting to get back into loving lip gloss. One of my favorites is the Diamond Gloss from Shop Miss A her AOA collection. It comes in different colors and has little bit of glitter in it. Great post and following your blog!!

They really have some excellent makeup products literally for a $1. Some items might be a little more but I have one of her $10 palettes and the colors are so pretty. You should totally check them out.
