Review: Dior Dreamskin Skin Perfector

Hello my beauties, and thanks for stopping by today! I know this is a day late, our internet decided to wig out and would not let me load any photos yesterday but today it worked. YAY! Today I want to share with you my opinions on Dior’s Dreamskin Skin Perfector. Full disclosure, I was sent this product complimentary to test it out but all of these opinions are 100% my own, honest views. Always have been, always will be. Let’s jump in!

I was sent the 50mL/1.6oz bottle which retails on Sephora for $120. Yikes! I was a bit unsure about this product when I first received it because my skin can be pretty picky about the skincare it likes and responds well to. Some of the claims are that it blurs the look of imperfections, acts as a primer and hydrates before makeup and that it will visibly even out your skin immediately. I don’t know so much about immediate results except for the blurring properties. It worked nicely under my makeup or just as my base daytime moisturizer. I found that it did give a smoother look to my skin with my pores and such being blurred out a bit after I had applied it. It’s not as much blurring as a pore refining primer but it did help. I do have a bit of redness on my cheeks and after using this for about a week and a half, I started to notice a difference which shocked me. Usually, redness-reducing products don’t work very well for me but I did notice a difference with the Dior Dreamskin. One big thing I should mention that might turn you off is that there is a very noticeable scent. To me, it smells like a mix of a clean, high-end perfume and baby powder. When I first tried the product, the scent really caught me by surprise but since I’ve been using it daily I don’t notice it as much. It’s still there but I’m not bothered by it. I found that I needed about two pumps to cover my entire face. It’s quite a thin product so it sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. All in all, I enjoyed this product even after my apprehension when I read the claims. Since it is such a high ticket item, I won’t say go out and buy it now but I will say that if you have a love for skincare, especially high-end skincare, then put it on your list of things to try. I think you’ll like it.
