Colourpop Look #3: The Perception Palette

Hello my beauties and welcome back! Today I wanted to share with you the third look and palette in our Colourpop series. I’m talking about the Shayla x Colourpop Perception palette! This was my first pressed powder eyeshadow palette, up to that point I had only used their Super Shock formula (which I still love to this day). Let me show you the look I created for today’s post!

I went for a bit of a smokey eye, which isn’t my norm, but it really worked in my opinion. Which shades did I use? Let me tell you!
– Crease/Transition- Culture
– Outer Third/ Outer V- Played Out
– Inner Lid- I.E.
– Outer Lid- Sassy
– Center Lid- TF
– Outer Lower Lash Line- Played Out
– Inner Lower Lash Line- I.E.
– Inner Corner and Brow Bone- Unbothered
The colors in this palette lean towards the darker side but they are still very workable. I’m still learning how to put shadow on my lower lash line but I don’t think it turned out horrible. The duochrome in this palette, ‘Sassy’, is a stunning green reddish shift. The rest of the shadows, save four, are shimmers which I don’t mind one bit. They mattes are all on the darker side making it hard to get a soft transition. If I do want a softer look, I do pull out one of my all matte palettes to use in conjunction with this palette. The golds and bronzes are my favorite shades and I really love the green.

There you go, look number three is in the books! Have you tried this palette? What do you think of it? Leave it down in the comments, I’d love to chat with you!
