Hello my beauties and welcome! Today is one of my favorite (pun intended) posts to do, my monthly favorites! I was able to really narrow things down this month but I am so excited to share with you what I’ve been loving. We’ve got a mix of skincare, haircare, perfume, and (of course) makeup! Let’s jump right in!

First up, let’s talk about some skincare that has really been making a difference in my routine. I was a Clairsonic girl through and through and was devestated when they announced that they were shutting down. This meant I had to find something else to try because I only have one brush head left. Then comes Black Friday and I’m scrolling through Amazon when I see that the Foreo Luna 2 facial cleansing brush is on a massive discount. I picked up the combination skin one for myself and for my mom I got the regular skin one, since she had been using Clairsonic too. I have to say, I love this cleanser more than I loved my Clairsonic! It leaves my skin feeling baby soft but really helps to get rid of the dirt and grime and get right down to the pores. I’ve noticed that since I’ve been using it every night for the past month, my skin feels softer each day and not just after I use the cleanser. If you’re in the market for a new cleansing brush, I would definitely suggest checking the Foreo Luna line out! Up next in skin care is the Herbivore Prism 12% AHA and 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow serum. Lately I’ve been into using products with AHA’s and BHA’s and whatnot in them because I really want to help even out my skin texture and tone. I only need three small drops on my face to really pat it in all over. Before continuing to my moisturizer I always make sure that this serum has sunk in so it can do it’s job without being compromised. I can sometimes have sensitive skin if I’m not careful but this doesn’t irritate my skin one bit. Now for hair is something I talked about in my 2020 Non Makeup Favorites (click here to check it out) but I’ve had even more time with it and I have to mention it again! I’m talking about the Kerastase Elixir Ultime. This is such a luxurious hair oil, I love to use it right after I get out of the shower before my hair dries. I start at my tips and go all the way to the top of my head so all of my hair reaps the benefits of this oil. It is on the pricier side but the fact that I only need a half to full pump for my whole head makes it worth it. I’ve noticed that my hair feels softer when I get up the morning after the previous night. I am also seeing less fly aways and this oil makes my hair smell so luxurious, I’m in love! It doesn’t make your hair look greasy or oily in anyway, it just looks healthy. Lastly is the perfume I’ve been loving this month. I love almost all of the scents from the Elizabeth and James Nirvana line, which I can only find at those big box perfume stores now if I’m lucky, and this one is one of my favorites. It is the Nirvana White perfume spray. The scent is light and perfect for the daytime. It lasts on my skin and my clothes but doesn’t give me, or anyone else for that matter, a headache. I also have this as a rollerball and they both smell the same. I had been worried because I had heard that sometimes the rollerball and the actual perfume spray can smell a bit different from each other. That is not the case with this perfume. I absolutely adore it!

Now for my makeup favorites! I’m going to start with what I have the most of brand wise and that’s Rare Beauty. I had gotten a little sample of the liquid blush with a kit and I really enjoyed it so I decided to try more of their products. I haven’t been able to put down the Soft Pinch liquid blush in ‘Happy’, the Positive Light liquid luminizer in ‘Enlighten’, along with the Brow Harmony brow pencil and gel in ‘Soft Blonde’. I loved these products so much, I just got a few pieces for her new release! The blush is absolutely stunning but you have to use a light hand because the color really packs a punch! I have a trial size of the shade ‘Bliss’ which is a great nude but I love pink cheeks especially ones that give you that “just out of the cold” kind of flush. That is exactly what I get from ‘Happy’. ‘Happy’ is a part of their Radiant line and ‘Bliss’ is in their matte line, so I can try both! I put just one dot on my cheek or the back of my hand and blend it out with my damp beauty sponge. I have never been one to love liquid highlighters but this one has completely changed the game. It’s really glowy without being glittery (which I don’t mind) but that makes it perfect on a more day to day basis. I tap this right onto the high points of my face and then blend it out with a damp beauty sponge. This gives a gorgeous glow and a very dewy complexion. Lastly in the Rare Beauty round up is the Brow Harmony brow pencil and gel. I can do my brows quickly with this product. It’s a soft product so a little goes a long way and it really fills my brows in nicely without too much effort. The only thing is the shade, I got ‘Soft Blonde’ but it is really dark on me. I may try ‘Rich Taupe’ when I order this next, it’s a shade up but the undertone is different. The spoolie with the gel is very precise and makes combing through your brows a breeze. Speaking of brows, I am loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Primer. This product really helps to get my brows into the shape that I want before I apply my pencil/powder/pomade etc. I find that when I use this in conjunction with a brow gel, after filling my brows in, that my brows look amazing all day and don’t really budge. It’s a small, thick pencil but you don’t need a lot so I think this will last me a good long time. I’ve been loving liquid eyeshadows recently and there are two I could not put down this month. I’m talking about the Ciate London Eye Lustre Creme Eyeshadow in ‘Cupid’ and the One Size Beauty Eye Popper in ‘Everything and More’. The Ciate London shadow is absolutely stunning, I love the purple pink base because it makes for a softer look. The shadow from One Size Beauty is a lot more noticeable because it’s more of a darker pink/copper base. Both products have lip gloss style applicators. I just swipe them across the lid and then blend it out with my finger. If you hate glitter, however, I would advise you to steer clear. Both products have a fair amount of glitter suspended in them but I have never noticed any fall out which is a major win in my book. There is one other blush that I’ve been using non-stop, and that is the Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush in ‘Love Story’. I have a few pressed blushes from Colourpop but this one is my absolute favorite. I usually go for anything in the pink range but this one is more a shimmery nude with a slight hint of pink and I love it. It is perfect for those no makeup, makeup days or just when you want a more subdued look especially if you’re doing something like a bold eye. It’s not crazy pigmented but it is also not sheer, it’s the perfect in between. The last thing for this month’s favorites is The Serum Foundation from The Ordinary. Until I tried this I had never tried a serum foundation and I was pretty skeptical. That is, until I put it on for the first time. It is lightweight and comfortable on the skin, gives a good light to medium coverage, and wears really nicely throughout the day. I thought it would make my skin look greasy but it didn’t. It stayed intact for an entire 10 hour shift with little to no touch ups during the day.
Whew, even though I had less products I certainly talked a lot! I would love to know what you have been loving recently, let me know in the comments down below.
