Hello my beauties and welcome! Today I wanted to share with you my go to makeup products for Spring. I figured I would do this for each season, so March to May will be Spring go to’s. Spring is when I love to go a bit more minimal with my makeup. I don’t wear all of these products together at once but I do like combining some to make a really fresh look. Let’s see what I’m using!

Let’s start with the base! I really love the Dr. Jart + Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm on days when I want a dewier, more minimalist base. This is such a beautiful product but it only comes in one shade- Light to Medium. It offers a tiny amount of coverage so I prefer to use this when I’m having really good skin days. If I want to wear a primer, I really enjoy the essence My Skin Perfector Tinted Primer in Fair Neutral. I used this product in my ‘An (almost) Full Face of Essence’ YouTube video- check it out here! Since it is tinted, it helps to even out my skin tone just the tiniest bit. It feels so smoothing and I’ve noticed a good longevity of my foundation when I wear this. On days when I just want concealer but not a full on foundation, I turn to my NYX Stay Matte but Not Flat powder foundation in Ivory. I started doing this last summer when my skin was really nice and I am bringing it out again for the spring. The coverage is just enough to blend with the concealer but not so much that it looks like you’re wearing foundation. Lastly, when I do use a ‘regular’ foundation, I love to use the Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Translucent powder. This is so perfect for spring (and summer) because it is waterproof so if you sweat, your makeup will stay where it is! It does not feel heavy on the skin at all and sort of melts in to the complexion so you don’t have a powdery finish.

I have a few newer face products that I am really loving and I feel that they will work great in spring. Let’s start with blush. I have fallen head over heels for the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch liquid blush in ‘Bliss’ (mini) and ‘Happy’. ‘Happy’ is a Radiant finish and ‘Bliss’ is Matte but they are both equally stunning. I find that one dot on each cheek blended out with my beauty sponge is the perfect amount. They are not sheer so they give a really nice color pay off and they make my cheeks look naturally flushed which I love! I find that they look really natural on the skin and that is a look a really like in the spring. For bronzer, I am still loving my Becca Sunlit Bronzer in ‘Bali Sands’. I have been using this bronzer consistently since I purchased it last year. It’s a satin finish with a gold sheen running through it. It’s more a beige toned bronzer so I don’t have to worry about looking orange- always a plus! This gives a natural light bronze to the skin which can be built up, but I love a lighter bronze during the spring because it feels more natural to me. You know I love a good highlighter and during the spring I like one that’s in between blinding and natural and the Revolution Highlight Reloaded in Just My Type fits the bill nicely. The one I have is a pale gold, which really looks nice on my skin tone. I find that I get the perfect amount of gleam and natural from this highlighter.

Lastly, eyes! For eyeliner during the spring time I prefer something less harsh than my typical black so I tend to reach for the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in ‘Demolition’. It is a brown that isn’t too light or too warm which makes it perfect for me this time of year. For me, this year has been the year of liquid and cream shadows, anything that is a one and done kind of deal. I’ve discovered that I really like liquid and cream and pot shadows. I knew I loved Colourpop Supershock shadows and Tarte Chrome paints but the liquid shadows I’ve been turned on to. The liquid shadow I use most is the Ciate Eye Lustre Creme Eyeshadow in ‘Cupid’, it’s a gorgeous pinky purple with glitter. It’s soft and makes my eyes look brighter. The other liquid shadow I know I’m going to love for spring is the One/Size By Patrick Starrr Eye Popper Sparkle Vision Eyeshadow in ‘Everything and More’. This is a gorgeous rose gold shade with a pink reflect making it perfect for the spring. This shadow really sparkles when the light hits it, which I absolutely adore. I can’t wait to wear this more! I really love the Tarte Chrome Paint in ‘Top Yacht’– it’s a pale gold/ metallic champagne color and goes on without fallout when I apply it with my finger. I love to use this shadow when I want a little more than a one shade look but don’t want to fuss; I usually use it with my Maybelline ‘Matte About Town’ palette to add some depth. The other two pot style shadows I love for Spring are the Colourpop Supershock Shadows in ‘Lovely’ and ‘Good Boy!’ These shadows are both neutral shimmer shades and they are both packed with sparkle! Starting to see a theme? haha! I love Supershock Shadows so much, they are the perfect thing for a fresh makeup look where you want to look put together but not like you put in a million hours of work. These also apply with your finger so one less brush to wash. Who doesn’t want that? Lastly is the palette that will be great for Spring, the Maybelline Nudes of New York palette. I just got this palette and it’s great for an everyday eyeshadow look. All the nudes are great and work well together but I can add a pop of color from somewhere else whenever I’m in the mood for it. There is a nice range of lighter to deeper shades with a good ratio of mattes to shimmers (in my opinion).
